ELKHART PLANNING AND ZONING

MEETING MINUTES

February 16, 2010

In attendance:  Burgus

                                Kappos

                                Lenz

                                MacNeir

Also in attendance was Mayor Cory and Council liaison, Rob Richardson.

The meeting was called to order at 7pm:

1.       MacNeir has requested a line item in the FY 10/11 budget for updating our comp maps and to allow members to attend ISU training in Des Moines

2.       Veenstra and Kim are in the process of updating the City maps to reflect recent annexation.

3.       The committee reviewed Cory plat as requested by Polk County (lying within 2 miles of incorporation of Elkhart). It was moved/seconded to recommend to Council to accept the Plat with no objection. (Kappos/Lenz) Furthermore, MacNeir indicated this type of drawing is needed when a request comes before P/Z.

4.       The meeting was adjourned at 7:13pm
