Members present

Scott Durrell, Virginia McLean, Gayle Adams, Jen Drey, Scott Drey, Denny Peppmeier

Mary Bishop, Josi Wetzler, Dick Hudson, Elizabeth Just, Angie White, Chad Rumbaugh, Andrew Cory

 

Item of business for this special meeting is to follow-up on the progress of the pancake breakfast.

 

Food update, Scott Durrell reported he had batter, sausage, eggs, syrup, butter, bacon.

Milk, bread, coffee, and juice will be picked up later for freshness.

 

Andrew Cory made calls about getting a large griddle, but no confirmation as of yet. Jason Lempke stated he would make some calls to assist in getting a large griddle.

 

Andrew will check with the fire chief to see if plates, forks, knives, and cups can be supplied through the EFVFD.

 

Date was set for the breakfast of Feb 27th from 8 am to 11 am.

 

Local youth groups are going to be called to see if any group needs to do community service. The groups would be used to assist in serving and clean up.

 

Set up for the event will begin Friday Feb. 26 - 6 pm at city hall.

Cooking and final arrangements will begin 6 am Saturday Feb 27

 

Andrew Cory will write an announcement to be delivered door to door to Elkhart residents. Notice delivery will be Feb. 23, & 24.

 

It was decided there would be a free will donation container to help to defer costs.

 

Volunteer duties were as follows

  • Cooking :Scott Durrell, Scott Drey, Denny Peppmeier, Jodi Wetzler, Chad Rumbaugh

  • Drinks and supplies: Virginia McLean, Mary Bishop, Elizabeth Just, Angie White,

  • Floating help: Gayle Adams, Dick Hudson, Andrew Cory

  • Serving and cleanup : Council members, Youth group(s), and Mayor
